To view a video tribute for Fern King Williams Christian, please click here.\n“Sweetheart”\nOur loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at St. Mark’s Hospital on July 16, 2006, after a short illness.\nFern was born September 14, 1920, in Moore Idaho. She was the daughter of Clifford and Hazel Olsen King, sister to Claire (Jack) Berry, Dawna (Merrill) Johnson, and Ray (Beverly) King. She married Stephen S. Williams on June 22, 1942, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away June 23rd, 1977. She married Dennis Clifford Christian on July 21, 1978. \nHer family was everything, she loved each and every one. She shared her life with husband, Dennis, daughters Jill (Gordon) Tibbitts and Sandie (Tom) Nelson, sons Paul (Denise) Christian and Jim Christian. Her eight grandchildren and three great-granddaughters were the joy of her life. Preceeded in death by her parents, sister Claire, husband Stephen, and daughter-in-law Jerri Christian. \nMom enjoyed all types of handwork, we all treasure her beautiful projects. The whole family always gathered at Grandmas for good times and good eats. She served faithfully all her life in numerous positions in the LDS Church. In Richards 1st Ward, Bryan Ward, and later in the Murray 25th Ward. Her life was enriched by many wonderful friends and neighbors. Her work career included an early beginning at Sweet’s Candy Company; she retired as Secretary to the State chemist after many years of service. Her sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her.\nFriends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, Utah on Wednesday, July 19th, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 20th, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Murray 25th Ward, 363 East Vine Street (4900 South), where friends may also call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
