Flora "Sheila" C. Watts Obituary (1922 - 2010)

“Sheila”Flora C. Watts, died at her home surrounded by her family September 1, 2010. She was born October 16, 1922 in Lima, Peru to Loronzo T. Caudros and Rosa De Paniagua. She married the love of her life, John P. Watts, on June 8, 1942 in Lima, Peru; moved to Murray, Utah in 1951. He preceded her in death on December 4. 1977.She was an accomplished seamstress for Nordstrom. She was a member of the Box Elder St. Birthday Club for 45 years. She loved her trips to Wendover, playing canasta with family and friends, and was a world traveler. One of her biggest accomplishments was having a personal relationship with each of her grandchildren. She was also a member of the LDS Church.Sheila is survived by seven children: Sheila Hoppie (Bart), Nancy Beckstead (Arvel), Kilo (Pat), William (Linda), Barbara Hurst (Stephen), Norma Mannos (Joe), Kathy Wood (Vernal); 34 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Iris (Juan) and Arlette; two brothers, Alberto (Amalia) and Oscar in Lima, Peru.Funeral services will be Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray 8th Ward, 4600 South 160 East (Brown Street). Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, take your Mom to dinner.
