Florence Moon was born August 8, 1922 in Woodland, Utah, where she and her twin sister, Venice, were the first daughters to be born to Heber and Emily Henrietta Moon, along with 7 older brothers. She died peacefully in her sleep on March 1, 2007 in Salt Lake City.\n\nFlorence married Olaus Johnson of Tabiona in 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have 5 children, 27 grandchildren, and 52 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by spouses: Olaus (1979), Darrell Merrell (1982), and Ralph Anderson (2004), brothers: Robert, Orven, Dailey, Vernell, Elmer, and William. All her children survive her: Florence LaLauna (Bandmann), Janet (Marsh), RosaLee (Bishop), Marland Olaus, and Wendy Colleen (Davis). She is also survived by a brother, Vernon, and her beloved twin sister, Venice. \n\nFlorence was always active in all of the church auxiliaries. She also served 4 missions to Wisconsin, Ireland, Australia, and Florida—the last 3 with her husband, Ralph. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.\n\nFriends and family may call on Monday evening, March 5, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the Tabiona Ward, Tabiona, Utah at 11 a.m., where a viewing will also be held from 10-10:45 a.m. before the service. Interment will be in the Tabiona Cemetery.
