Francise Lucile Moss Preyer Palmer Obituary (1917 - 2010)

“Fran”Francise Lucile Moss Preyer Palmer was born April 4, 1917 in Baca County, Colorado, and died September 12, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fran was the 10th of 11 children born to Emanuel and Josephine Moss. She grew up in Lamar, Colorado, and served in the US Navy in World War II. She was the second wife of Frank A. Preyer (deceased in 1955) and then of W. Horace Palmer (deceased in 2003) for over 40 years.She enjoyed painting, plants, handwork and sewing, bowling and golf. She was a loyal Episcopalian, a devoted companion and caregiver to Horace, and a caring stepmother to Ornona Ruegner (Reinhold), Robert Palmer, and Billie Sessions. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 17, at Noon in the Hyrum (Utah) Cemetery under the direction of Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
