Gail Elaine Adlard Peterson

Gail Elaine Adlard Peterson, age 56, passed away April 21, 2010 after a long illness in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born May 1, 1953 in Independence, Missouri to George W. and Opal Hartley Adlard. Gail grew up in Buckner, Missouri near Kansas City and moved to Salt Lake City after graduation from high school. She married John Lester Peterson June 16, 1973, the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple August 7, 1974.

Gail was a member of the LDS church, devoted mother to her three boys and a homemaker. She was a secretary for the plant manager at Otto & Sons in West Jordan for 17 years before her illness. She loved riding horses, her dog Simon, and loved spending time with and caring for her boys.

Gail is survived by her husband, John; three sons, Justin and Brandon of Bluffdale, UT, Tim (Stacie) and two grandsons of West Jordan, UT; mother, Opal of Sibley, MO; two brothers, Tim (Marsha) of Buckner, MO, Mark (Laura) of Sibley, MO; two sisters, Terry (Dennis) of Centerville, UT and Dana (Shade) of Sibley, MO. Preceded in death by her father, George and her sister, Linda Edwards.

Gail loved her family and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bluffdale 3rd Ward, 14400 S. 2742 W. in Bluffdale, UT. A viewing will be held Monday, April 26, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.), South Jordan, UT and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
