Gary Bingham

1935-2025

Gary “Bing” Bingham, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025 at his home. Gary battled many obstacles through the years from Asbestosis to Merkel Cell Carcinoma.

Born in Milford Utah to Florentine and Nina Bingham on October 26, 1935. He was the youngest of six siblings. Gary attended Milford High School and graduated in 1953. Aspiring to become a barber he went to barber school and graduated with his barber license in 1955. In 1956, Gary joined the U.S. Navy and retired as an E6 in 1979.

After leaving the military, Gary worked at the Dollar Barber Shop for 15 years in Salt Lake City. In 1990 Gary found the love of his life Sharon, and they were married in 1993. In 1994, Gary decided to work for himself and opened his own shop in Murray, Utah. In 2006, at the age of 71 and after 12 years, Gary decided it was time to retire.

With his love for the outdoors he continued fishing, camping and traveling. He also continued his love for the Navy by attending the annual Navy reunions held across the U.S.

Gary is survived by Sharon, his daughters Tami Carver and Laurel Scott, grandchildren Sheamus and Kaylix and his nieces and nephews. Gary was also blessed with his extended family, Troy and Tina Page as well as Ernie and Renae Broderick.

Gary’s wishes are to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
