Gerald Clark Doose, Sr. Obituary (1942 - 2019)

“Gary” 1942 ~ 2019 Our loving father, papa, uncle, brother, and friend, Gerald Clark Doose, Sr., passed away on January 17, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Gerald (aka Gary) was born May 10, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William H. Doose, Sr. and Diana Westover Doose. He married Rita Dawn Adams; together they had one child; they later divorced. He married the love of his life, Lenna Jane Sievers Doose, on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1968, in Murray, Utah. Together they have 3 children. Gary was a very loving, kind and caring person who would never turn his back on you. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, Robert, Sharrann, Chris, Shyaira and Jaclyn. Gerald is survived by his children, Clark (Ruth) Doose of Rolling Meadows, IL., Gary (Wendy) Doose of Lehi, UT., Barbra (DJ) Hunsaker of Sandy, UT, Teina (Jack) Vaught of West Valley City, UT; 9 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids; 2 brothers, William (Charlyn) Doose, Ernie (Cindy) Doose; 5 nephews; and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by both his parents; his loving wife; his best friend, Hayden; and his two grandbabies. “We Love You Dad!” Funeral Services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, January 24, 2019, at 1:00 pm with viewings Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and on Thursday, January 24th from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
