“Loving Husband & Father”\nGlenn William Bartlett passed away April 13, 2007. He was born April 25, 1924 in Pekin, Illinois to Harold H. and Minniebelle Trueax Bartlett. He married his sweetheart, Joan Warden, in England on July 28, 1945. \nAt 18 years of age, Glenn went into the 101 Airborne with the US Army and jumped inland over Normandy, France on June 6, 1944 and also jumped over Holland and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He worked as a Pipe Fitter for Local Union 140.\nSurvived by his loving wife, Joan; sons, John and David; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.\nFuneral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, where friends may call from 1:00-1:45 p.m. before the services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
