Guy Gordon Holt, 55, passed away peacefully at home on April 1st, 2023 after a long battle with his health.\n\n "Loving father, grandfather, and best friend"\n\nGuy was born March 29, 1968 in Denver Colorado to Mickey (Holt) Ganz. Guy had a passion for fishing, shooting, camping and anything to do with the great outdoors. He was the #1 fan of the Raiders football team. He had a great love for music and tons of knowledge about it. He was a master carpenter for 20+ years changing careers in 2008. At that point he started his work as a sanitation engineer with ACE Disposal which he continued for fifteen years. Guy was so generous. He would give you the shirt off his back. His heart was enormous and everyone who knew him loved him immensely. He had an undeniable sense of humor and an outgoing personality. He made many friends along the way that became his family. He had so many jokes and would talk your ear off if you let him. His laugh was contagious and he had a warped sense of humor which is where his children and grandchildren got theirs. He lived in many places including Colorado and New York but he settled in Murray and Sandy, Utah where he lived out the rest of his years and started his family with Sharlena (Wall) Holt and had 2 children. He loved his children and grandchildren "more than anything in the world". \n\nGuy is survived by his daughters Coral Holt (Matthew) Odle, Alida "Allie" (Skylar) Holt Givens. \nCoral and Allie have 2 other siblings, Kasee Beyer and Ethan Ashcroft that Guy loved as his own. \n6 Grand-daughters; Alivia, Lani, Ayla, Avalee, Ameliah and Maezie. Guy's Aunt Loraine (Holt) Jones and Step Father Aaron Ganz. Guy's sister Demi and his nieces Ashlie, Bree, and Mariah. Although they were divorced, he loved and adored Sharlena (Wall) Holt until the day he died.\n\nGuy is preceded in death by his mother Mickey (Holt) Ganz, mother-in-law Sheila Wall, his grandmother Betty (Dunn) Holt, his grandfather Jack Gordon Holt, and his second cousin Eileen Zanoni who he loved tremendously. \n\nIn honor of Guy’s wishes we will be hosting a celebration of his life. It is scheduled 4/20/23 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at Murray Park Pavilion #2 (495 East 5300 South Murray Utah 84107). Dress casual, bring lots of stories and laughs. The Silver Moon Taco Truck will be available for your convenience.\nWe would like to offer a special thank you to ACE Disposal and their loving family who has helped along the way as well as Silver Moon Taco Truck for helping with the service. Also his best friends Farron and Dan who have been there for his children every step of the way. Every single person that has reached out to offer condolences and their support in any way, we will forever be grateful.
