“Together Again”\nOur beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt passed away on Dec.19, 2007 as a result of a long lingering illness. \nGwen was born March 29th in the Murray Cottonwood Hospital to LeVona Brown and Hyrum Herbert Wilkinson. She was later adopted by Royal Barney Heusser. She was the oldest of two daughters. \nShe married Ray W. Bateman Feb. 2, 1953; later sealed in the Jordan Valley Temple. A graduate of Jordan High School, and also attended LDS Business College.\nShe resided in Murray, Utah. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also had a compassion and love for all animals.\nShe is survived by her devoted sister, Faye Heusser (Ray) Burrows; nephew, Lonn Ray (Jackie) Burrows; and three half-sisters, Dorothy (Michael) Christensen, Janice (Clairon) Durrant, LeAnn (Douglas) Ellison; plus several nieces and nephews. Gwen was a mother to Rascal, Spunky, MaryLou and Sammy. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and half-brother, Jack Wilkinson.\nWe appreciate all the help and services that she received from all her caring doctors, nurses, and aides.\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray 23rd Ward, 755 E. Three Fountains Drive (4990 So.). Friends and family may attend the viewing Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church on Saturday prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
