Helen Ruth Lefavor Mullen, 94, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at Ashton Living Center, Ashton, Idaho of causes incident to old age. She was born Dec. 14, 1916 in Salt Lake City to William Thomas Lefavor and Ruth Cherrington Lefavor.\n\nShe married James McDonald Mullen Oct. 8, 1937 in Salt Lake City. She worked as a secretary for Cannon & Mullen Architects until her retirement in 1976.\n\nShe was an active bridge player, avid reader, excellent cook, lover of all outdoor activities including hunting, fishing & birding. She was impossible to beat in Scrabble & Boggle. Her passion in life was making her husband happy.\n\nShe is survived by two children: Sherry (Mark) Gardiner, Jim (Mary) Mullen; and sister, Betty (Jim) Anderson; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mullen; daughter, Loralee Smith Baxter; 2 sisters, Lorraine Johnston and Virginia Wheatley; 2 brothers, Leo and Vern Lefavor.\n\nA special thanks to Ashton Living Center and all the special caregivers.\n\nFuneral services will be Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So.
