Hyrum T. Anderson Obituary (1929 - 2016)

Hyrum T. Anderson, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully July 12, 2016. Hyrum was born March 26, 1929 to LaMont and Marvella Anderson. Hyrum graduated from Moroni High School in 1947 and married his high school sweetheart, Lou Jean Oldroyd, the same day. She preceded him in death in 2007. Hyrum and Jean began their life in Wales, Utah. In 1959 they moved to Salt Lake City. They enjoyed many years at their summer home in Samak, Utah. Hy and Jean enjoyed spending time together traveling to all parts of the world. Hyrum had a successful career in industrial rubber sales. Hyrum is survived by his sons: Ellis (MaryAnn) of Salt Lake City, and Clint of Waco, Texas; daughter, Barbara Rasmussen (Pat) of Casper, Wyoming; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and brother, LaMont of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers: Lee Anderson and Arial Anderson; and sister, Zola Ruesch. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, with a viewing prior from 9:00 – 9:45 A. M. Interment at Fountain Green City Cemetery.
