Isela Salinas (54) left this earthly realm on February 13, 2023 after a long battle with Cancer. It would be wrong to say that she lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Isela stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.\n\nIsela was born on February 6, 1969 in Mexico City, Mexico to Raul and Virginia Olvera. She was the youngest of 4 children, Irene Rosenda Olvera (17), Raul Olvera Jr. (59) and Eduardo Olvera (61). She had a memorable childhood and made lasting memories with her siblings, cousins and neighborhood friends. At the age of 8, she met her future husband and the father of her children. In 1988, she finalized her education as an Administrative Secretary.\n\nOn February 16, 1991 she married her childhood sweetheart and together raised three daughters, Irene Barrera, Maria Riccardi & Shelsey Salinas. In 1997, Isela and her family immigrated to the United States and later, purchased their first home in West Jordan, Utah where they welcomed their youngest daughter Shelsey.\n\nTogether as a family they made many memorable memories including taking weekend trips to Park City, trying new restaurants, sledding and baking with her mother and daughters. Isela also enjoyed knitting, embroidery, and collecting miniature trinkets along with spending time with her four grandchildren.\n\nIsela was a very loving, compassionate, and cheerful person. She would always light up every room she was in with her bright smile, laugh and countless jokes. Her love for others was countless and she truly believed in treating everyone with respect and love. She will always be remembered with much love for the beautiful, and loving mother that she was.\n\nShe is survived by her Mother (Virginia Olvera), two brothers (Raul & Eduardo Olvera), Husband (Jorge Salinas), three daughters (Irene Barerra, Maria Riccardi, and Shelsey Salinas), four grandchildren (Kiara, Kesley, Aria and Uzziel).
