Jack Warr

–

Salt Lake City, UT

On Tuesday, May 20th, Jack passed away peacefully with his wife by his side. Jack was born February 29, 1924 in Marion, Idaho. Being a leap year baby he has many grandchildren who can brag they have had more birthdays than Grandpa.
Jack served in the Navy during WWII. In 1960, he met and married his lifelong companion, Marian Dittman.
He worked for many years as a Jewel Tea salesman. His favorite and last job was co-owning and operating the Montgomery Ward Catalog store in South Salt Lake with Marian.
He enjoyed golfing with family and friends. He was an avid and long time supporter of his "UTES" being a season ticket holder and Crimson Club member for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Marian, daughters Jackie (Blaine) Wynder, Dayle (Dennis) McMullin, Robyn Roberts, and son Carl (Rebecca) Willoughby. He has nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his youngest son Phillip (Phil) Warr.
The family would like to thank his many friends at Sunrise Home Health and Hospice and his live in caregivers Marc and Katie Chevalier.
Services are Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 12 noon at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah 84107, with a visitation from 11-11:45 a.m. There will be a private graveside service at Elysian Burial Gardens.
