Jacoba "Cobi" Johanna Ombach Obituary (1925 - 2010)

“Cobi”Our precious mother, sister, grandmother and friend returned to the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father on June 8, 2010. She was born July 20, 1925, in Utrecht, Holland to Jacobus and Adrianna Maria Ombach. She married Willem Wyker and together they had five children. In the summer of 1961, they boarded a ship and immigrated to the United States, where they immediately made Utah their home. They later divorced, but always remained friends.As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she was a woman of great faith. She had a strong testimony of her Savior, and delighted in sharing her love of the gospel to those around her. Her sweet tender voice and humble countenance will be greatly missed, however her influence and righteous example will continue to live in abundance through her family as they strive to emulate those same qualities.Cobi is survived in death by her children; Erna Overman (Robert), Willy Miles (Doug), Cobi Bills (Jim), Jim Miles (son-in-law), and Ron Wyker (Alison), her sister Joyce Walker (Lowell), and brother Hank Ombach (Ginny), sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by Jeannette Miles (daughter), Alisa Bills (grand-daughter), and Jean (sister).Graveside Services will be held Saturday June 12, 2010, 12:00 noon at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road. A viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) prior to the graveside service.
