Our angel Jaimee Spenst passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 3, 2023, after a courageous battle with Huntington Disease.\n\nJaimee was born to Steven and Mary Spenst in Murray, Utah on June 20, 1977 as the youngest of four children.\n\nJaimee graduated from Skyline High School in 1995. After high school, she started her family and career as a full time mom and CNA. Jaimee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving in her callings with the youth. She considered her greatest accomplishment raising her four amazing children and her favorite niece. Jaimee was a compassionate caretaker as a CNA at Health South and Sandy Regional for many years.\n\nJaimee had an adventurous soul and enjoyed living life to the fullest. She was always smiling and if you knew Jaimee you would know her unique contagious laugh. She continued this characteristic until the very end.\n\nJaimee is survived by her loving children Stevie (Tristan), Rylie, Emilee, Jimmie and niece Mikaela; grandchildren Luca and Fynn; grandmother Ireta; mother Mary (John); brothers Gerald (Laura), Jeramy (Janara), Josh (Melanie); stepsiblings Aime (Raven), Aubra (Keith), Christine (Alan), Jay, and John.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her father Steven, her sister Jodi, grandson Payton and her grandparents.\n\nHer faith in eternal families has strengthened her loved one at this time, as we look forward to being together again.\n\nThe family would like to give a special thanks to her long time friend Jennifer Lui and her company Ensight Home Care as she served Jaimee in her last days. We would also like to thank all of her family and friends who spent time with her throughout her journey.\n\nA Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Granite View Stake Center, 9880 South 3100 East, Sandy, Utah 84092. Graveside services for close family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Granite Cemetery, 2969 East 9800 South, Sandy, Utah 84092.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Huntington Foundation or to the family for funeral expenses.
