“Jimmy”\nJim passed away at his home February 23, 2008 surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed.\nHe is survived by his wife, Vicky; 3 children, Tracy of Ogden, Jimmy (Brenda) of Rock Springs, WY, and Jason of West Jordan; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild; his mother, Maxine Turner of McGill, NV; a sister, Janice (Lowell) Hunt of Reno, NV; his former wife, Karen Watson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Turner; and a brother, John R. Turner.\nJim served in the U.S. Army for 2 years; worked for Mountain West Truck Center, where he had many friends. He retired in 2006. He enjoyed boating, snow skiing, motorcycling and restoring old cars. Jim was always there to lend a helping hand and/or advice to anyone who needed it. \nThe family would like to thank Community Nursing Services for the care and compassion they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Nursing Services at 6949 S. High Tech Drive, Midvale, UT 84047.\nA memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So State Street, where friends and family may gather for a visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the memorial. Burial will follow at the Murray City Cemetery.
