James Michael Victor

James Michael Victor passed away peacefully Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 5:05 am. He was born June 22, 1945 in Lake City, Florida to Nolan and Ruby Victor and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho with his two siblings Steve Victor married to Sally Victor of Twin Falls, Idaho and Janis Rasmussen married to Ward Rasmussen of Sandy, Utah. On June 9, 1971 Mike married Susan Thompson of Cedar City, Utah in the Logan Temple. Together they have five children: Todd Victor married to Stephanie Wilkins Victor; Michelle Van Vleet married to Jon Van Vleet; Kim Cliften married to Rich Cliften; Tyler Victor married to Brooke Merrill Victor; and Marci Poulsen married to Mikel Poulsen.
He worked for SC Johnson, Quality Coatings/Olympic Stain, and was self-employed allowing him time spent with family. He loved to travel with family and friends and was able to visit many places leisurely and as a Representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Mike served faithfully on several LDS missions, one as a young man in 1964 to the Denmark, Copenhagen mission and 6 more with his faithful companion – our mother. Dad loved life to its fullest. He attended ball games and scout campouts, dance recitals and family reunions. After raising their kids in Bliss, Idaho, Mike and Sue moved to South Jordan, Utah. He thought family was important and loved to visit each of his kids on a regular basis. We are grateful for the many wonderful memories we have and share. We will greatly miss you dad.
Survived by his wife Sue Victor, brother Steve Victor, sister Janice Rasmussen, five children, and 24 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Nolan and Ruby Victor.
Funeral Services will be held Friday February 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at the River Ridge 7th Ward Chapel 10200 South 1300 West, South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday February 25th from 6:30-8:30 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S) and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services on Friday at the church. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
