Jane Laughlin Lewis Obituary (1952 - 2010)

On December 24 Jane returned to the presence of her Father in Heaven after a year long battle with cancer. She was born June 21, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edwin and Lois Petereit Laughlin. Married John Hilton Lewis on August 22, 1968 in Centerville, Utah. Jane, her husband, and children were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on August 6, 1982. Jane loved spending time with family, grandchildren, friends and her many pets. She enjoyed studying archaeology, church history, and visiting places with grand scenic vistas; one of her favorites was Capitol Reef National Park. She was a compassionate, loving person, sharing 45 years of companionship with her husband and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Jane is survived by her husband John, sons Johnny and Joe along with his wife Julie, daughter Janet, sisters Sue and Patti, grandchildren Riley, Jenna, Jacie, Jadalyn, Joanna, Erica, Nicole, Cassandra and Sadie, and pet dogs Pixie and Kea. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff on July 14, 2007. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the LDS Church located at 10200 S. 3200 W. in South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday, December 30th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Funeral Home located at 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S) and Friday from 11:00-11:45 am prior to the services at the church. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
