She attended Brigham Young University as a dance major and Cougarette. In 1950 she met Donald J. Clark and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1951. After graduation, they moved to New York where Don received his Masters Degree from New York University. They then returned west to Oakley, Idaho, where Don joined the family grocery business and began to raise seven sons. She found Idaho to be quite a culture shock, but grew to love the open air, the mountains and animals. In 1968, they moved to Burley, Idaho where the Clark’s had purchased a second IGA grocery store. She would take extra jobs to help support her sons while serving church missions. They remained in Burley until 2014 when they moved to South Jordan, Utah.\r\n\r\nJanet loved music, fashion, dancing, movies, and jokes. She was fun to be around and would be the life of any party. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many leadership callings in Primary, Young Women and the Relief Society over the course of her life. She loved exercise and taught aerobic classes into her seventies. She was the perfect mother for seven boys.\r\n\r\nJanet was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Gerald and Robert, and her husband Don, who passed in 2018. Janet is survived by her sons, Dean, Bradley, Jeffrey, Russell, David, Stephen, Blake and their families--including 29 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nThe family thanks the wonderful staffs of Legacy Retirement and Legacy House of South Jordan for the love, care and concern they have shown over the past years of residence there.\r\n\r\nA public viewing will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 AM Friday, December 18, 2020 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W.
