Jaren Gordon Obituary (1974 - 2024)

Jaren Peter Gordon, 49, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away on April 5, 2024 after a long battle with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. He was born on September 12, 1974, to Don and Ingrid Gordon, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a faithful mission for the church in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He met the love of his life Jamie and they were married for eternity on April 16, 1998 in the Jordan River Temple. Jaren was known for his funny and lovable personality, great sense of humor, and compassionate nature. He was a joy to be around and had a way of making friends with everyone he met. Even through his suffering from Metachromatic Leukodystrophy he had a fun personality, and everyone loved him. He is survived by his wife Jamie, daughters RaKelle and Ashlyn, son Braxton, parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Jaren was preceded in death by his sisters Ansje Gordon Sundin, and Kelsey Gordon, as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles. Jaren enjoyed joking around and brought laughter and happiness to those around him. A special thank you to Sandy Health and Rehab who cared for him the last 5 years, and a special thank you to Intermountain Healthcare Home and Hospice who cared for him the last few months of his life. A Celebration of Life in honor of Jaren will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1pm-3pm at the LDS Church at 8435 South 2700 West. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
