10/28/1931 ~ 11/07/2017\r\n\r\nJean Logan Shelton passed away peacefully cradled in the love of her children and family. \r\n\r\nJean was born in Boise, Idaho to Helen Grace Logan and Rupert Scott Logan. Jean was the fourth of seven children. She grew up and attended school in the Boise area. She loved to dance and spending time with her sister and brothers. Later in life she loved fishing, camping, gardening, fishing, quilting, sewing, fishing, traveling, baking and fishing. Her special love was spending time with her family and friends. She loved family reunions, Easter and Christmas celebrations, birthday parties, Wendover excursions and anywhere people gathered.\r\n\r\nShe had a special love for animals, especially her many family pets.\r\n\r\nJean shared most of her life’s adventures with David Marcon, her loving companion and husband of 45 years. They made their home in Murray, Utah. She worked as a waitress for many years, as a community action program worker, a Salt Lake County Sheriff office matron, and an adolescent home caretaker.\r\n\r\n Jean was an active member of the LDS church. She was a long time active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.\r\n\r\nGrandma Jean is survived by her seven children, Jeanie (Fred), Christine (Dennis), Carrie, Judy (Tom), Bill (Cheryl), Jo (Larry) and Karl (Joy); 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her older sister, Maxine of Mountain Home, Idaho; and her younger brother, George of Boise, Idaho. She had many wonderful friends - too numerous to list - but loved and cared for them all. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers; her loving David; her son, Kevin; her grandson, Willy; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Jakie, Halie and Sadie.\r\n\r\nFuneral Services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, with a viewing Monday, November 13th from 6-8 p.m. as well as Tuesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to Mom’s very special friends and caregivers, Carolyn, Jane, Pam and Boo who gave so many years of loving care.
