Jerry Lee Clegg passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2020.\r\n\r\nJerry was born August 21, 1960 to Lewis L. and Connie Delzer Clegg in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Heidi Roath on June 29, 1988. Jerry and Heidi spent many happy years camping, traveling and attending Ute’s games together. They were excited to welcome their son, Dakota in 1999 and loved doing many activities together as a family.\r\n\r\nJerry was an avid Ute’s fan who held season tickets to Ute’s football. Many family members and friends had the opportunity to attend games with him and enjoy his enthusiasm for the game and his loyalty to the University of Utah.\r\n\r\nJerry also loved the outdoors. Much of his free time was spent camping and four-wheeling with Heidi, Dakota and other members of his family. He especially loved hunting and fishing, spending many years with his dad, brothers, uncles and cousins making memories and enjoying wildlife.\r\n\r\nJerry was loved by all who knew him and we are shocked and saddened at his sudden passing. His big hugs and funny personality will be greatly missed.\r\n\r\nJerry is survived by his wife, Heidi, their son Dakota, his dad, Lewis Clegg; his brothers: Terry (Kristen) Clegg and Paul Clegg and his sisters: Peggy (Rick) Vincent and Kathy Raleigh. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Delzer Clegg.\r\n\r\nA viewing will take place on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 South State, Murray, Utah, from 6:00-8:00pm.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11:00am at the LDS Chapel located at 2045 Churchwood Drive, Tooele, Utah, with a viewing prior to the service from 10-10:45am.\r\n\r\nInterment will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
