Gile born June 19, 1937 in Murray, Utah passed away peacefully from health complications on March 10, 2021. Joane was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took extreme joy in her family. Her love and affection knew no limits. She always welcomed any chance to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her greatest excitement came from announcements in the family of new marriages, new babies to be born and accomplishments in sports, dance, music, school, etc. She is survived by husband Darrell, daughters Cheryl (Larry) and Kathy (Brent) and sons David (Chona’) and Dennis (Nichole). She was married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple to her sweetheart Darrell W Gile on September 7, 1955 and they enjoyed their lives together for the last 65 years. She was the proud grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Joane held many positions in the primary organization including teaching, chorister, and presidency. She has taught Sunday school, and temple prep classes and loved singing in the choir and serving as a temple worker with her husband. She loved being with her husband and they enjoyed so many activities together including golfing, bowling, Utah Stars in the ABA, Utah Jazz in the NBA, dance competitions, grandkids ball games from little league on up to high school sports. She was a participant in “Club” which was monthly lunches with a group of Murray high school friends nearly every month from graduation until Covid 19 intervened. That was an opportunity to share bragging rights of family growth and accomplishments. She loved her little grand- daughters and great grand-daughters smothering her with hugs and affection. \r\n\r\nA viewing will be held March 17, 2021 from 6-8pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 1007 South Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, UT. \r\nFuneral services 11am-Noon March 18, 2021 at the Draper 1st ward house 12353 S. 600 E.
