Another angel has received her wings. This world has lost a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Joane Francis Nelson Grimsley passed away on June 30th.\nJoane was born in Murray on February 28, 1934 and graduated from Murray High School. On October 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, Verne Grimsley.\nIn 1977, she moved to California to pursue her career in publishing craft books. She worked for Richards for several years and loved her work. She was very artistic and crafty in every way. Her biggest passion was for painting, and she loved teaching painting classes. After retirement, she spent time teaching classes to seniors.\nShe moved back to Murray in 2007, where she loved spending time with family and enjoyed going to church.\nJoane is survived by her husband, Verne Grimsley; children: Pamela Kenney (Bill), Daniel Scott Grimsley (Cathy), Charles Freeman Grimsley (Denise), Jon Arthur Grimsley, and Audra Lyn Salyers. Also survived by her brother, Gary A. Nelson (Carol); 11 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Nelson and Francis Nelson; and her daughter, Patrice Rosales (Guadalupe).\nA memorial to honor Joane's life will be held Saturday, July 6th at 11 am at the LDS church located at 435 East and 5600 South in Murray.
