JoAnn Mellor Felix

JoAnn Mellor Felix was born to Lynn W. and Fae M. Mellor on October 25, 1942 in Price, Utah. She passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2013. She found the love of her life at BYU and she and Gordon Felix were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 12, 1963. JoAnn earned a BA degree at Brigham Young University and taught reading in elementary school until their children began to arrive.

She is survived by her mother, Fae Mellor, her husband, Gordon K. Felix, and children Kareina (Wes) Westlund, David (JoAnn) Felix, Lorilea Linton, Evan (Edna) Felix, and Maylyn Felix, twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will be at the funeral home on October 10, 2013 at 11:00 am, with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 am. Interment West Jordan City Cemetery.
