JoAnn Castleton Howard passed away February 12, 2017, at the age of 80 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born March 25, 1936, in Eureka, Utah to G. Vernon and Norma Castleton. She was the oldest of 9 children. She grew up in Springville, Utah. She married Richard Sundblom January 21, 1955 and later divorced. She married Keith Howard on March 23, 1991.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lloyd (Nilda) and David Castleton; and her sister, Julie (Wayne) Hempel. She is survived by her husband, Keith Howard; her children, Richard (Marlene) Sundblom, Dale (Julie) Sundblom, Glenn (Jennifer) Sundblom and Marilyn Sundblom; as well as siblings, Darlene (Boyd) Kindred, Loree (Wayne) Wescott, Elaine McBroom, Larry (Betty) Castleton and Bert (Ivy) Castleton; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary at 4760 S. State St. in Murray, Utah, on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm. The funeral will be held at the Rosecrest 1st Ward, 3101 S. 2300 E., Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 am. There will be a Family Gathering and Prayer Meeting held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:45 am. prior to services.
