John went to be with Our Heavenly Father Friday morning after a courageous battle with a terminal illness.\n\nHe was born in Davenport, Iowa to John and Sue Meier on Nov. 16th 1959. He earned a B.S. from the University of Northern Iowa, a M.S. from the University of Utah, and was a licensed securities broker for PFS Investments Inc. He worked for Dan’s Food and Dick’s Market from 1984-2006 and Excel Cabinets from 2007-2012.\n\nJohn enjoyed his coffee and reading the morning paper, painting, mountain biking, marathon running, Harley riding, fly fishing, volunteering at his daughter’s school, collecting sports memorabilia, golfing, photography, gardening, hanging out with his friends, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Utah Utes.\n\nHis biggest joy was spending time with his family.\n\nHe is survived by Wife Trish, Sons Brandon (Tiffany and Brooklyn), Larry (Brandi), Tyler (Brittnee and Koda ), Daughter Montana, Mother (Sue), and Brothers Dan and Mark (Linda and Morgan, Marcus, Brianna, and Tori).
