John H. Rodgers\n“Jack”\n\nJack passed away October 23, 2005 at age 85. He was born June 13, 1920, son of Francis & Phyllis Rodgers. Married Virginia Meyer October 19, 1945. She died September 9, 1996.\n\nJack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for CF&I Steel for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening—and most of all, being with his family.\n\nSurvived by 3 children: Cheryl Wilcox, Karen Wood, Mike (Debbie) Rodgers; 6 grandchildren, Dan (Amy) Wilcox, Wendy Wilcox, Sarah and Alexis Miller, Jennifer (Jesse) Whitlock, and Michael Rodgers; and 4 great-grandchildren.\n\nSpecial thanks to Carmen Palmer, Deb Smith, Gerry McDonald, Dr. Ben Kim, Dr. Patricia Legant, St. Joseph’s Villa, Alta Meadows Health Care, and all of the caring people at Residence Care Source.\n\nAt Jack’s request, there will be no formal services. A wake in his honor will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Three Fountains East Clubhouse, 900 Eastgate Rd. (4960 So.) from 7-9 p.m.\n\nIt was Jack’s desire to be together once again with his beloved wife, Virginia. His family will scatter his ashes in the same location as they did for Virginia—in the mountains they loved.\n\nIn lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jack’s name to the Make A Wish Foundation, 771 E. Winchester, Murray, UT 84107.
