Joseph Patrick Eastin

–

Salt Lake City, UT

1970-2019

“Joey” was born March 14, 1970 to George Vernon Eastin Jr, “Bud Eastin”, and Linda Louis Gines Eastin. He passed away of natural causes on June 9, 2019. Preceded in death by his father, “Bud” Eastin.

He was the youngest of six children: Cheryl Eastin Hardy, Terri Eastin Searle, George Eastin Jr, Carolyn Eastin Andre, and Kenyon Eastin. He graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1988, and attended Dixie State College in 1992-1993, where he studied Business.

Joey was a fun, loving, caring, sharing, generous, and energetic son, little brother, and uncle who always wore a special smile. He was the “social butterfly” of the family, often dropping by to visit with his siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, sometimes traveling long distance to visit.

As a young teenager, Joey was severely injured in an auto/ATV accident that ultimately resulted in the loss of one leg. The disability didn’t disable him, and he quickly overcame the challenges ahead, moving forward and accomplishing many of his life’s desires. Always had an optimistic outlook on life and rarely complained. He was very ambitious and energetic, willing to try without fear of failure. He was gifted with an exceptional IQ and memory that very few were aware of.

Joey had big dreams, from the bottom of his heart, of sharing his future financial wealth with all of his family, friends and charities, and wanted all of them to know this. Unfortunately, it was only a dream, but a very real dream to him. His generosity was real and genuine.

Joey had several business ventures that he was proud of, and wanted to be recognized as a businessman and entrepreneur, which he was.

He was a member of “The Friends” Christian group, where he found his spiritual needs met and enjoyed participating in.

Joey will be missed, loved and remembered by all of us, and is finally at peace, for eternity.
