Joyce Tame Stevens passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2007 surrounded by her children. After all her struggles in this life she is now at peace and joins all her loved ones who preceded her in death including her daughter, Stacy.\n\nShe was born on May 11, 1933 to Clifford J. Tame and Frances June Lindsay and was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Jordan High School. She will be buried next to her mother and father, Clifford and Frances Tame.\n\nPreceded in death by her parents, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law and grandson. She is survived by her three children: Frances Groves (Dave), Lynette Giles (Chuck) and Lindsay Prisbrey (Teresa) and her brother Eldon Tame (Evelyn).\n\nShe leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, kindness, compassion and integrity. Her greatest love was her family and she cherished every special moment she spent with them.\n\nShe had many gifts and talents. Her interests included gardening, cake decorating, oil painting, sewing, hand embroidery, ceramics, quilting, machine embroidery plus many other hobbies.\n\nShe was a member of the LDS Church. She never gave up her beliefs or her love for God. She taught primary as well as playing the piano for church services. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, American Sewing Guild and belonged to many Embroidery Clubs and Quilting Clubs.\n\nFuneral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brownstone Chapel, 6410 S 725 East, Murray, Utah. Viewing will be held Monday, August 20, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, as well as one hour prior to services.
