June Koontz Nielsen Record Obituary (1926 - 2019)

June Arlene Koontz Nielsen Record passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on March 25, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Floyd Koontz and Zela Stark Koontz. She married Howard D. Nielsen in 1945. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Howard passed away on December 27, 2000. She then married Ross Record. June loved working in the Temple. She also enjoyed knitting, making quilts for family and friends, and snowmobiling. She is survived by her children: Stephen (Julie) Nielsen, Tammera Nielsen, Janelle (Daniel) Lay, Brandon Nielsen, and Shellaire Record; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Wellen Koontz. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Howard Nielsen and Ross Record; and her daughter, Brenda C. Nielsen. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 South State Street, Murray.
