Kay Kenner passed away June 9th, 2023, from complications of a stroke. Mom was born on June 2nd, 1934, in Salt Lake City. She spent her early years living in Tooele Utah with her parents Willis and Ruth Inglesby and later moving to Torrey Utah, where she spent her teenage years growing up amidst the beautiful red rocks of southern Utah. After graduating from Wayne High School, she married our dad Bailey Boyd Kenner on July 26th, 1953, in Torrey. After moving to Salt Lake, they began the unenviable task of raising four boys where there was always some mischief or mayhem going on in the Kenner house. As a family we spent many enjoyable times camping, fishing and rockhounding the wilderness of Utah. Mom worked as switchboard operator at various companies in Salt Lake she retired from Questar Corp.
After retiring, she enjoyed traveling, reading and lots of heaping love on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After dad passed away in 2002, she spent her final years living independently with her dog Lucky in Rose Park where she enjoyed helping neighbors and volunteering at the Rose Park senior center.
Mom is survived by her sons and their spouses, Boyd and Marion, John and Susan, and Bill and Michelle. At the time of her passing, she had Eight grandchildren Bailey, Chelsea, Michael, Josh, Matthew, Austin, Dallyn, and Riley.
