Kaye Kartchner Obituary (1967 - 2021)

Deanna Kaye Kartchner 1967 - 2021 “To Know Her is to Love Her” With great sorrow we announce Kaye’s passing after a long illness. A sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A mother who gave her all to her son, Kelly’s girls and their grandchildren. Everyone who met Kaye said she was one of the kindest most loving people they knew. Kaye and Kelly spent many happy times in the mountains with family and friends camping, hunting and fishing. She was an avid Steelers fan and they even went to Pittsburgh to watch them play. Kaye spent many years as a valued employee of Harmons Grocery Store. She loved her job helping others have good times and good food. She loved her many dogs and cared for them with great devotion. She was a loving wife and companion to Kelly and helped him make their beautiful house a home. A beautiful light has left us, but heaven must surely be a much brighter place with her in it. Death is a mystery, but as a 16th century philosopher said “I part for the great maybe.” Kaye has left for the “GREAT MAYBE.” We hope somewhere her lovely soul exists and is with us still. She will always remain in our hearts. There will be a small outdoor gathering memorial for family and friends on Tuesday, October 5th from 4:00-6:00 pm at the home of Lola Kartchner 9624 South 2980 East, Sandy, 84092. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Humane Society or charity of your choice in Kaye’s name. Please observe Covid protocol at the gathering.
