Kazuko Iwamoto Mori Obituary (1927 - 2014)

Our beloved Kazuko Mori passed away January 12, 2014 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born January 28, 1927 in Lewiston, Utah to Soichi and Michi Iwamoto. She spent an active hardworking childhood on the family dairy farm. She graduated from North Cache High School. She move to the "big" city of Salt Lake, boarding at the Beehive house. She studied to become a beautician and later in life a seamstress and a Medical Assistant. Here in SLC she met and fell in love with Nobuo Mori. They were married on April 22, 1949, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 10, 1981. Kazuko enjoyed many church calling and served over 24 years as a temple worker. She enjoyed many family visits with sons in California, Asia and Europe. She is survived by her sons Dennis (Ann) and Gordon (Aya), grandchildren Matthew (Gabrielle), Andy, Christopher, and Blake and two very cute great-grandchildren. Her optimistic and positive outlook as well as her delicious cooking will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 18, 2014, 11:00 am at the River Ridge 8th Ward, 10168 South 1100 West. Viewings will be held on Thursday January 16th from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) and on Saturday from 9:45 – 10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment will be at Lake Hills Cemetery. Funeral Home: Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W.
