Keith Lamar Dumas was born in Murray, Utah, September 12, 1923 to Joseph and Louise Butterfield Dumas. He passed away on April 13, 2009 at his home on Pinion Ridge with his wife and son by his side. \nLiving a hard, but fulfilling childhood, he was always ready to help his mother.\nServing in the Navy during WWII, he received an honorable discharge. He met the woman of his dreams in May of 1946.\nGraduating from Murray High, Keith became a plumber, which he enjoyed until his illness took him.\nPreceded in death by his mother; father; six brothers; one sister; one sibling; and grandson, Cody Dumas, who was taken at a young age due to an auto accident.\nKeith is survived by his wonderful wife, Colleen; brother, Dale (Renae) Dumas; sister, Melva (Boyd, deceased) Llewelyn; sons, Brent (Connie) Dumas, Eugene, Oregon; Lynn (Pam) Dumas, Duchesne, Utah; Terry (Signe) Dumas, Riverton, Utah; daughters, Debra (David) Gilbert, Magna, Utah; Gayle (Scott) Long, Panguitch, Utah; 23 Grandchildren; 42 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. \nWe would like to say thanks to Hospice and everyone who helped us with our father during these tough times. “Pop, you will be missed by all.”\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 11 AM at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray, Utah, where friends and family may pay their respects from 10:00-10:45 AM.
