“Loved By All”On Dec. 2nd 2009 our Dad, Husband, Gramps & Great Grandpa, left this life as our hero and pillar of strength. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family from natural causes in Idaho Falls.Keith Sumsion Rodgers was born on October 16th 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Willis & Edna Rodgers. He was the oldest of four children. He married Beverly Workman on November 15, 1952; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad attended BYU, the U of U & Stevens Henagar College—where upon completion he graduated with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He worked & retired from Dun & Bradstreet after 37 years of service. He was very dedicated for which he received many rewards for his accomplishments. During this time he also taught accounting for 17 years at Stevens Henagar College. Dad never sat still and always had to be doing something. Not only was he working at D&B and Stevens Henagar, he owned, along with his partners, an ice manufacturing & distribution business. After retiring from all this at the age of 62, Dad started a Rag & misc. product distribution business. He did this for 15 years until his rheumatoid arthritis slowed him down.Dad was the most positive person you would have ever known and never gave up on anything. He never spoke negative of anyone. He was the most loving, caring individual and loved spending all the time he could with his family. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served proudly in the US Army 751 Military Police and the 1158 Engineers Combat Group as a Master Sergeant.Keith leaves behind the love of his life and eternal partner, his wife, Beverly; his three children, Craig (Pam), Brad (Janet), Becky (Darin); 12 grandchildren; 5 great-children (and one on the way); sister, Marlene Snyder; and his dog, Pepper—his faithful companion. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd; brother, Max; and sister, Deon. The family would like to thank everyone at the Life Care Center of Idaho Falls who cared for Dad as one of their own and was so loving & caring to our Mom.
