Kevin Lee Taylor

“On the 18th green”Our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, papa, grandpa and friend passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the age of 61.Born on March 25, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard Holbrook and Carol Woffinden Taylor. He graduated from Highland High School in 1967 and later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College. He married Rozanne Tate on January 11, 1975, and together they had three wonderful children, Melissa (Mike) Linford, Suzanne (Matthew) Heritage and Bryan (MacKenzie) Taylor. They later divorced. On March 14, 1997 he married the love of his life, Karalee Kopcho, and they had many fantastic years together. He retired from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office after 30 years of service and went on to work for Taylorsville City. At the time of his death he was employed by the U.S. Marshal’s Office.Kevin cherished time with his family and many, many friends, but especially time with his grandchildren. He loved to travel and enjoyed many golf trips with the boys. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. He was a real sports enthusiast but his greatest passion was golf, golf and more golf.He is survived by his devoted wife; mother; children; sisters, Cynthia (Rod) Jenson & Heidi (Steve) Olson; 6 grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Alisha, Trevor, Matthew (Bubbas) and Luke. Preceded in death by his father and brother Larry.Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
