Kirsten "Keeta" Domgaard Procter

Kirsten passed away May 27, 2014 as the result of a tragic automobile accident. Kirsten was born Feb. 7, 1964 in Salt Lake City, the first of two beautiful daughters born to John Neil Domgaard and Kaye Merrell. She married the love of her life, John, on Sept. 9, 1995. Through the highs and lows of life they were always committed and devoted to one another. She graduated from Cottonwood High in 1982. She attended and graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Health Science and Gerontology. Kirsten loved people and it reflected in her career. As a young woman she worked as a nanny in Denmark, followed by work in physical therapy and home health. Kirsten loved children and working in elementary education as a substitute teacher for many years. Her thoughtful and caring attitude greatly impacted the lives of her students. Most recently she enjoyed interacting with people she worked with at Schmidt's Pastry. Kirsten was very active and always interested in health and fitness. She loved animals and they followed her everywhere. Kirsten was very creative in jewelry making and art. Her greatest qualities were her love, commitment, support and dedication to her family. Survived by her loving husband John Procter, daughter Whitney (Matt) and grandson Callum Kravtzoff; mother, Kaye M. Whirl, sister, Lisa (Richard) Ansley, mother-in-law Margaret Procter, and brother and sister-in-law Marvin and Denise Procter. Also survived by beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, John Neil Domgaard and grandparents. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed and shared in Kirsten's beautiful life. She will be greatly missed and treasured and she will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
A memorial service for Kirsten will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Chapel, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 pm prior to the service.
