Kortni was a loving wife and mother of three. She was born in West Jordan. She played high school volleyball and basketball for West Jordan High School and then went on to coach for her Alma Mater in 2010. Her positive energy was recognized by all who were privileged to play with or for her. She met Mason in high school and they later married in the Salt Lake Temple, after he served a two year mission in Alabama. Basketball continued to be a part of their life at Dixie State University, where Mason played on the team there while Kortni was earning her nursing degree. While in college, they grew their family with their first born, Riggins Michael. They went on to add two more children to their family, Julian Blue in 2017, and Franki Quinn in 2019. Kortni was a natural mother and found happiness in being a caretaker in her home as well as in her profession as a nurse. Kortni brought so much joy to everyone around her, always singing at the top of her lungs or dancing. She was competitive and had a fierce passion and zest for life. Kortni is survived by Mason Sawyer (husband and father) and Julian Blue (son). Her family will continue to love her spirit and will miss her forever. She took two of her babies with her.
