“See You in the Funnies”\nLamar, age 84, passed away June 1, 2009 in Salt Lake City, UT. Born in Union, Oregon on Nov. 16, 1924 to Wilford Willis and Hazel Ann Greenwood Sirrine.\nLamar was the best person you could know if you ever needed a hand, if he could not fix something, he would make something to fix it. If that did not work, he could get a roll of duct tape to do the job. He excelled as an industrial machinist until his retirement. Camping was Lamar’s favorite pastime. He also enjoyed hunting, working in his garden, building things, discussing history, and arguing about politicians. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.\nSurvived by siblings, Gordon Sirrine (Carma) and Vera Markkanen; children, Pam Rhine (Sydney), Gary Sirrine, Bruce Sirrine, Glenn Sirrine, Dorinda Morson (Sherm), David Evans (Darlene), Michael Evans (Pat), Martin Evans (Jan), Barbara Guest; 31 grandchildren and 71 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ivan, Garth, Warren, Lynn, and his wife, Gladys.\nFuneral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. in Murray where family and friends may call from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Interment Murray City Cemetery. Bring your tissues!\nThe family would like to give a special thanks to the kind doctors and nurses at St. Mark’s Hospital in the ICU wing and the 3rd floor staff. You guys were wonderful!
