LaRae Thomas Naylor passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023. LaRae is the daughter of Jacob Elmer and Charlota Thomas. LaRae was born June 6, 1937, and was raised in Magna, UT.\n \nShe attended school in Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School.\n \nLaRae married Hal Harvey Naylor on September 2, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have three children: Lisa Ann, Connie Rae, and Hal Thomas (Tom).\n \nShe has always been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many organizations and callings, but her favorite was serving as compassionate service leader. In this calling LaRae touched so many lives. LaRae and Hal enjoyed serving as Ordinance Workers in the Jordan River Temple for six years.\n \nLaRae worked for the Jordan School District as an office aide for 21 years.\n \nLaRae loved to cook for her family and was known for her delicious potato salad, which was one of her family’s favorite dishes. LaRae also made quilts for her family and family reunions.\n \nLaRae is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Hal; her three children: Lisa Jensen, Connie (Mike) Hammer, Tom (Leslie) Naylor; 13 grandchildren, 32 and growing great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Keith Thomas and Richard Kim Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother.\n\nViewings will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm MDT at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, located at 1007 South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah, 84095, and on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 10:00 - 10:45 am MDT at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1239 Country Creek Drive, South Jordan, Utah, 84095. The funeral service will commence on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11:00 am MDT at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live-streamed at https://my.gather.app/remember/larae-naylor.\n\nAs we celebrate LaRae's life, we invite friends and family to share their memories of her and upload photos to her memorial page.
