LaRee Hansen Helm

LaRee Hansen Helm, was born June 3, 1938 to Edith and Kenneth Hansen and passed away surrounded by loved ones March 10, 2015. She was the oldest of three and the only daughter.
She met her husband, Rex, at a dance in Rexburg and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on September 18, 1964.
LaRee grew up in Rexburg, Idaho and graduated from Madison High School. She then attended Ricks College and BYU. She was a committed BYU fan and often told stories of adventures with her roommates, many of whom she maintained a lifelong friendship.
LaRee was passionate about sewing and quilting. She was also a talented oil painter. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving wherever she was needed. She particularly enjoyed serving with Rex at the Family History Library and at the Jordan River Temple as an ordinance worker.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rex Lee Helm. She is survived by her children Allen, Eric (Tamsen), Theresa (John), Melanie (Jen), David (Emily), Michael (Sheri), 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday March 13 at 11:00 am at the Sagecrest Ward Chapel at 1280 East Turquoise Way (9992 S.). A viewing will be held Thursday night from 6 pm-8 pm at the same LDS Chapel and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Annis Highway Little Butte Cemetery on Saturday, March 14 at 1 pm in Lorenzo, Idaho. Online condolences may be shared with www.jenkins-soffe.com
