LaRene (Holgate) Roberts born July 10, 1946 passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022 surrounded by family. \n\nBorn in Richfield, Utah to James and Zenetta Holgate, LaRene was one of twelve children and was raised in Monroe, Utah. LaRene married Keith Lynn Roberts on August 2, 1962, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had eight children, which they raised in various cities throughout Salt Lake County. LaRene had an unequivocal passion for the church and her family; she often opened her heart and home to friends and family and was a true believer in doing the lord's work of service for all in need. LaRene had a profound love of reading, homemaking, an ever expanding doll collection, and was consistently involved in the activities of her children as they grew up. Additionally, all of LaRene’s grandchildren and great grandchildren knew of her love, as they were each reminded of being her FAVORITE as she hugged them (Grandma hugs were the best!). Until her last moments, she had a great sense of humor that allowed others to feel her warmth. \n\nSurvived by her seven children, Greg (Tina) Roberts; Sandra (Todd) Plaga; Wendy (John) Hermeling; Holly (Mark) Cheney; Linzi (Chris) Peleschka; Kenyon (Sabrinah) Roberts; Craig (Amber) Roberts; 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Delvin (Bertha) Holgate and Vern (Lorna) Holgate. Preceded in death by her husband (Keith), daughter (Veronica Rene Pehrson), her parents, brothers (Reldon, Robert, Roland, William, David) and sisters (Lennith, Linda, Claudette, Julie). \n\nFuneral services will be held on November 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home (4760 S. State Street, Murray, UT). Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 10 am. The funeral will be publically streamed online from her obituary at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
