Laura Kaye Medici
October 17, 1952 – November 30, 2022

West Jordan, UT – Laura Kaye Medici, 70, left this life due to complications with an infection on November 30, 2022, and was gloriously reunited with her sweetheart David and daughter Angela. Prior to her passing, Laura was surrounded by friends and family which is what she enjoyed most. Laura was born on October 17, 1952, to Robert Hancock Wanlass and Virginia Lee Swofford in Salt Lake City, UT. She grew up in Sugarhouse, UT and attended South High School where she was part of the Pep Club and sang in the choir.

Laura and her husband David were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 1, 1974. They welcomed four children into their lives, Angela, Anthony, Kelly, and Kymberly. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her angels. She enjoyed attending many of their activities and also those of her children, even into their adult years. As her children grew there was rarely a time when she or David were not in attendance to a baseball, softball, basketball, football, soccer game or any other activity their children were involved in. Support from Laura came in the form of time.

Laura loved music, nature, painting, puzzles, collecting things, movies (especially Hallmark), cooking and baking. She was well known for making wonderful dishes but none more famous than her delicious carrot cake. She lived life and loved in her own way. She had a quiet, sweet but sassy demeanor, crazy good memory, and a gracious heart. Even when things became harder at the end, she continued to thank each person that visited and every healthcare worker that attended to her. Laura lived simply and loved completely.

Laura is survived by her son Anthony and wife Teresa, son Kelly and wife Paige, daughter Kymberly and husband Chris, her grandchildren, and many other loved ones.

Services for Laura will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 11:00am at the Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00-10:45am. Interment at Riverton Cemetery. The service may be viewed via webcast at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
