Leslie Ann Carpenter, 63, passed away peacefully at home in West Valley City, Utah, on September 12, 2026.
Leslie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 25, 1963, to Ila Sue Puzey and Raymond Dee Facer. She completed her GED, an accomplishment of which she was very proud.
Throughout her life, Leslie held many different jobs, but she always loved her most important job of all: being a domestic goddess. She was a member of The Point Church in Kearns.
Leslie found joy in so many things. She loved camping, fishing, hunting, thrifting, cooking, karaoke, concerts, traveling, the Utah mountains, and, most of all, her friends and family. She was one of the most generous people in the universe. She had the heart of a soldier and was one of the strongest people many of us have ever known.
Leslie battled many medical challenges throughout her life, but she overcame them all. She was truly a medical miracle. Through everything she faced, Leslie remained remarkably positive, strong, and determined.
Leslie is survived by her daughter, Brittany Fischer; her son-in-law, David Fischer; her grandson, Johnathan Carpenter; her sisters, Sherry Slicker, Cindy Lindsey, and Brooke Christensen; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Allan Carpenter; her stepfather, Ned Puzey; her mother, Ila Sue Puzey; her father, Raymond Dee Facer; and her sister, Shauna Solt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Gardner Village, located at 1100 W. 7800 S., West Jordan, Utah 84088. Light appetizers and beverages will be served.
Please RSVP to Sherry Slicker at (480) 229-9606 or Brittany Fischer at 916-586-4912.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Leslie and her family during this difficult time. Special thanks go to the entire staff at DaVita Dialysis Center, all of the hospital staff who cared for Leslie throughout her many visits, her hospice team, and Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home for their care, compassion, and assistance.
Leslie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She wanted everyone to know how much she loved them.
