Mom’s Little Princess, sister, mother, aunt, cousin and friend, Leslie Marlene Johnson Cloward Sanders, returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on November 5, 2006. She is the daughter of Marilyn Kahananui
Leslie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a loving and caring person. Leslie was the mother of son, Michael Anthony Jackson, of whom she loved with all her heart. She is the adopted grandma to Rosie (and was like a mom to Stasha) who brought her laughter and joy. She loved little children and had a great empathy for those in need. She will be deeply missed by her mother; brothers, Chad (Janell) Hall and Jon Kahananui; sisters, Danielle (Ralph) and Lori Brown; step-father, Jeremiah Kahananui, friend, Paul Garcia; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, cousins and best friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Troy; grandma; aunts; and uncles.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Granite Park Stake Center, 601 E. Mansfield Avenue (3100 So). Friends and family may attend a visitation on Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church on Monday. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, there has been an account set up at Zions Bank in Leslie’s name to assist with the unexpected funeral costs.
