Los Angeles, California
Levi William Heath, 47 years of age, of Los Angeles, CA passed away on February 25th at home after an exhausting, but valiant battle with aggressive metastatic melanoma cancer.
Levi was born on August 18th, 1974, to Marvin William and Emalynn Heath in Salt Lake City, UT. After graduating from Cedar High School in 1992, he went on to study Political Science with a minor in Philosophy at the University of Utah. He completed his formal education at UCLA Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 2002.
Levi married Jennifer Robin Heath on August 5, 1999 in the Salt Lake City Temple and they had five amazing children.
After graduating from UCLA, Levi began his 20-year law career as an associate litigator with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld. He moved on to Phieffer Thigpen & FitzGibon, then joined Barnes & Thornberg as a partner. Levi fulfilled his last four years as Partner and Litigation Group Leader with DLA Piper, all while residing in Los Angeles, CA.
Levi was a devoted husband, father, and a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a special witness of Christ, serving in many capacities, but ultimately as a North America Area West 70. He was always willing to do what Heavenly Father wanted of him. He was a doer and rarely sat still except to rest up for another busy day of work, church service, exercise, and good food with family & friends.
His lasting contribution to this world was his outreach in his community, his church, and to all those with whom he came in contact. Everyone who met Levi will share the positive impact he had in their lives.
He was an avid reader and told his family never to throw away a book! He found delight in daily exercise which enabled him to have energy to accomplish much. He loved being in the outdoors, by fishing, hiking, running, and camping, especially with friends and family. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and hoped to one day take it out across the country. He always wanted to provide fun and memorable experiences for his children and wife.
Levi loved his family dearly and was a prime example of a lifelong learner and a well-respected leader for his children.
Levi is survived by his wife, Jennifer Robin; his children, Mason, Logan, Titus, Reagan, and Lincoln; his mother, Emalynn Heath, and his siblings, Brooke (Kevin) Davis and Jedediah Duane (Jessica) Heath. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin William Heath.
