Lewis Eugene Dahl Obituary (1926 - 2008)

Lewis Eugene "Gene" Dahl passed away peacefully July 26, 2008. He was born March 14, 1926 to Franz and Myrtle Dahl. He was educated in the Salt Lake School District. Upon graduating from East High School, he enlisted in the Navy to serve during World War II. He was very proud of his service and his country. At the close of WWII he enrolled in Westminster College. He loved being a Special Ed teacher and influenced the lives of many. He was a concert pianist and had a love for Gershwin and Rachmaninov. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother Keith. He is survived by his brother Irving and Irving's family. He is also survived by his adopted family Clinton and Sally Jensen, as well as their children Nathan, Dillon (currently serving an LDS mission in Norway), Matt & Annie Foulger and Bridger & Lauren Jensen, and close friend Ginger Bain. Special thanks to the staff of the Utah State Veterans Nursing Home for their compassion and caring. Also, thanks to the LDS Branch serving at the Veterans Nursing Home under the direction of Pres. Ron Olson. You have touched many lives. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at the Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
