Lois was born January 31, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in Provo and Payson, Utah where she attended Provo High School.\r\n\r\nLois served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Western Canada; Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.\r\n\r\nShe was married to Grant Hodgkinson on December 16, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple and lived in Murray, where they raised three children: Clint, Holly and Scott.\r\n\r\nShe loved to travel and visited Canada, Alaska, Fiji, Bahamas, Australia, New Zealand, Prince Edward Island, Washington DC and the Church historical sites.\r\n\r\nGenealogy was a passion and she worked many hours searching for family records. She attended the temple regularly and completed temple work for hundreds of relatives. As a lifelong member of the Murray 8th Ward, she had many callings including Relief Society President twice, MIA President and worked diligently on the bazaars of the time, raising money for the Relief Society.\r\n\r\nLois leaves behind her loving family of three children and their spouses, eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She lived an exemplary life and will be missed by all.\r\n\r\nA viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. the morning of Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home in Murray, 4760 South State Street. She will be laid to rest in the Murray City Cemetery.
